Hood River Parks and Recreation

Adult Recreation will be run by the Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District and local businesses. 

Adult Sports will be run by the Hood River Valley Parks + Recreation District. This is an opportunity for adults to take part in local sports. 

Swim Lesson Policies 

  • A child may be enrolled in one session at a time. 

  • No swimming with open wounds or contagious illness. 

  • Cancellations due to low enrollment mean a credit and/or refund will be issued. 

  • Cancellations with less than 24-hours’ notice of the first class that are not due to an approved illness will result in loss of lesson credits. 

  • No refunds due to cancellations from inclement weather. A free pool pass for your child will be available for pick up for one day closures. 

Performing Arts Camps are run by the Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District and local Arts-Dance-Theatre companies. These camps are aimed for participants to improve their basic skills, develop their knowledge for the performing arts industry, and most importantly having fun. 

Youth Baseball will be run by the Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District as well as the local High School programs. The camps are aimed for participants to improve their basic skills, develop their knowledge for the game, and most importantly having fun. 

Youth Basketball will be run by the Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District as well as the local High School programs. The camps are aimed for participants to improve their basic skills, develop their knowledge for the game, and most importantly having fun. 

Youth Recreation will be run by the Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District as well as local independent contractors. The camps are aimed for participants to improve their skills and to have fun. 

Youth Soccer Programs are run by Hood River Valley Parks + Recreation District and the local High School teams. Practices and games are aimed to introduce basic skills, knowledge of the game, and a pathway to competitiveness to young and new or beginner athletes. 
 

This program is jointly managed by Hood River Valley Parks + Recreation District and the Gorge Ultimate Frisbee club.
