2015 GORGE Junior Sailing Program
Give yourself water and safety skills that will last a lifetime!
Instruction in basic sailing skills including rigging, knot tying, and safety. Intermediate/advanced sailors will learn racing skills.  Beginner classes will be held in the confines of the Hood River Marina; Intermediate and advanced classes will have opportunities to sail on the river. Classes are taught by US Sailing certified instructors.
All students must know how to swim.  Swim check is intended to acclimate children to the cold, dark water and observe their comfort level in the water. Swimming in the river presents new circumstances and is not like swimming in a pool.
Students are required to wear life jackets at all times while on the docks, on the beach, and sailing. Life jackets are not provided; children and adults must bring their own properly fitting life jacket.

Cancelations: Community Ed must be notified at least 1 week prior to the first day of class to receive a refund.

Instructors: Mallory Bozina and staff, with Jaime Mack

Location: Hood River Marina Basin (meet on the float plane dock, directly north of the DMV)
